According to the memoirs of
Boris Petrovich Ilyin
, Ivan Petrovich is a captain
and knight of orders; his father had an estate in the Moscow province. After
military service, he served in the diplomatic service, and they lived in
Florence.
Ivan Petrovich owned the village of Kutuzovo, located on the territory of
modern Zelenograd, Moscow. In 1828, he sold the estate to staff captain
Elizaveta Khristoforovna Gradnitskaya.

The Ilyins’ archive preserves the autograph of Empress Catherine II on the
rescript conferring the rank of collegiate assessor on Vasily Anikeev. There
are references to a certain Vasily Petrovich Anikeev, a court councilor.
Perhaps this is Ivan Petrovich's brother.
