Sergey Borisovich Bolkhovskoy (1744-?)
Prince Sergey Borisovich is the great-grandfather of
Nadezhda Nikolaevna
,
the wife of
Petr Alexandrovich Ilyin
. Our direct great-great-great-great-
great-grandfather. The oldest member of the family whose portrait we have.
Information about his mother varies from source to source. His father’s first
wife was Maria Avraamovna Molostvova, the second was Avdotya Petrovna
Narmatskaya. The date of death of Maria Avraamovna in different sources is
always the same — 1732, while the date of birth of Sergey Borisovich is
indicated differently, but always much later than 1732.

Sergey Beznosyuk. «Bolkhovsys». Quote by: http://rurik.hostenko.com/2020/05/11/bolhovski/
At the age of 12 he was listed as an artillery bayonet cadet. At the age of 21 he
became an artillery major. After retiring, he lived with his brother Vasily
Borisovich and uncle Petr Ilyich in his village of
Cheremyshevo
. Sergey
Borisovich also owned estates in Shuran and Mamatovo.
He was married to
Favsta Petrovna Choglokova
, daughter of Prince Petr
Romanovich Choglokov, but lost his wife early. As a dowry, Favsta Petrovna
was given estates in the villages of
Chukavino
and
Konoplino
, Tver province.
The prince and young princess almost did not live in Chukavino, occasionally
visiting here and staying mainly in Konoplino, located a mile from Chukavino,
where at the end of the 18th century a spacious stone house with two floors was
built. In 1791, the estate was once again given as a dowry to the daughter of
Prince S. B. Bolkhovsky —
Nadezhda Sergeevna
, who married Major General
E.I. Velikopolsky.
Sister Lyubov (? - 1807) - in monasticism Sophia, abbess of the Kazan convent.
Daughter Nadezhda (1770-?) at the age of 19 married Major General Ermolay
Ivanovich Velikopolsky. In 1797, their son
Ivan
was born, a future famous
writer. Two years after the death of Ermolay Ivanovich, she married
Alexey
Fedorovich Moiseev
.
“Nadezhda Sergeevna... was buried in the cemetery of the Zilantovsky
monastery. There was a very bad portrait of her in the Cheremyshevsky house.
She was not beautiful, a strong brunette, with sharply defined eyebrows. Very
energetic, with a cool character, all her life she ran her own huge household and
was in charge of affairs of her first husband. She had more than 2000 serf souls
in the Kazan province"
Daughter Evdokia (Avdotya) (1776-1843), married Nikolay Mikhailovich
Mussin-Pushkin (1762-1830), owner of the village of Bezdny, her son was
a famous trustee of Kazan University, and later a trustee of the St. Petersburg
district.
Sergei Borisovich and his brother Vassily owned a
stone house
and wooden
outbuildings in Kazan. “The house of the Bolkhovskoy princes is stone, two
floors with mezzanines and two one-story wings with mezzanines” together
with a plot of land occupied an area of 1824 square fathoms (about 8300 sq.m.
ON RT. f. 114. op. 1. d. 2. l. 12 vol.) On the site of this house the National Bank
for the Republic of Tatarstan is now located (Bauman St., 37).
